

Louis F. Napoli Sr, 81, of Tampa, passed away May 30, 2015 . After a stint in the military he became a police officer with the Tampa Police Department and worked his way up to Detective. He led security teams for many venues, sports teams and public figures throughout his wonderful career. After his first retirement in 1982 he became a detective for Hillsborough County Public Schools. He was honored by many civic associations and played a prominent role in Tampa’s Krewe events. As a Knight of the Krewe of Sant Yago he delighted in the revelry to bring smiles to children of all ages. Louis was predeceased by his father, Ignazio, his mother, Stella, his sister, Joelle and his wife, Evelyn, the queen of his life. Louis is survived by his children, Louis Napoli Jr.(Jennifer), Donna Harvey (Paul), and Tracie Napoli (Debi); grandchildren, Hunter Harvey, Jade Napoli and Tiffany Napoli; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home – Macdill Chapel, 605 S. Macdill Ave., Tampa. Inurnment will immediately follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery and at 12:45 a Celebration of Life Luncheon we be held at Fraternal Order of Police Lodge, see address below.
