Lu Curvat, 63, of Tampa, FL passed away on Friday, December 4th. She was the daughter of Genaro and Margaret Menendez. She is survived by her two sons, Scott Fillingham along with his wife Kristen and Sean Fillingham. She is also survived by her mother Margaret, her Aunt Martha Menendez and many loving family and friends. A graduate of H.B. Plant High School in 1970 Lu went on to have a long and tremendous nursing career. Lu had a wonderful outlook on life. She always tried to make the best of every situation for herself and those around her. She loved spending time at the beach, on cruises and of course with her two sons. A celebration of her life will be held this Saturday, December 12th at 11:30am at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home at 605 S MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609. In Lieu of Flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to the American Heart Association.
