Lynda was a Tampa native, graduating from Plant High School and attended Florida State University. Lynda and Bill married in 1963 and were inseparable with their many adventures: scuba diving and traveling by boat and RV. Lynda was the owner of Davis Optical Co., Inc, which her father started in 1947. Over the years, the couple was active in the Optical industry, which included traveling around the country putting on continuing education courses for the National Academy of Opticianry, the National Contact Lens Association, and the American Board of Opticianry. They were the first couple inducted into the National Academy’s Hall of Fame for their continued service and dedication to the organizations. Lynda had a wonderful sense of humor and was a kid at heart. She made her family laugh with sound making “doo-dads” which sometimes had Bill begging for silence and hiding her toys. More importantly, she was a loving wife, mother- who was active in the PTA, little league and school sports - grandmother and aunt who always kept her family close and in her heart. With her passing, her love will be carried on by all who knew her.
