Mara Quintero

Mara Quintero, 94, of Cienfuegos, Cuba, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 9th. She is survived by her son, Agustín (Augie) Quintero (Linda); daughter, Mari-Tere Quintero Pi; grandchildren, Teresita (Jeff) Golomb, Michelle (Paul) McFarland, Paul Quintero (Jason), Danielle (René) Ciccarello, Guillermo Elias Pi; great grandchildren, David Michael McCann, Alexandra Golomb, Cameron McFarland, Gracie Ciccarello, Santino Ciccarello, Sofie Golomb, Jacob McFarland; her sister, Yolanda Gómez; brother, Manuel González-Abreu (July); nieces, Isabel Bacallao (Tony), Mayra González-Abreu; nephew, Manuel (Manny) González-Abreu (Emily); great nieces, Isabel Cecilia Prado, Angeline González-Abreu; great great nephew, Gabe Prado. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roberto González-Abreu; husband, Elías Quintero; and son-in-law Guillermo José (Willy) Pi.

Special thanks to Dr. Philip Atigre, Nurse Tania, Nurse Eddy and to all the loving caregivers over the years, especially Sandra, Maria del Carmen, Ana, Beatriz and Yailín.

The family will receive family and friends at Christ the King Catholic Church on Friday, June 12th, from 9am to 10am with a Catholic funeral mass to follow at 10am that will be livestreamed at https://vimeo.com/427745853?ref=em-share. Immediately following the mass, Mara will be laid to rest at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Tampa, FL. The family is accepting flowers or donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Mara.
