Marie Doris Cotter

Mrs. Marie Doris Bell Cotter, 92, died peacefully in her sleep in Safety Harbor, Florida on May 27, 2023. Marie was born on August 25, 1931 in Arran, County of Bruce, Canada. She became an American Citizen in 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents Norman P. Bell & Mary A. O'Hara Bell; sister Helen Hollingsworth (Clyde) and brother Arnold Bell (Jeanette). She is survived by her two brothers, Ray Bell (Carolyn), Earl Bell (Donna),and her sister Debi Bell Slattery (Dan).

Marie was married to Leo Cotter for over 45 years, widowed, and survived by 4 children, Leo Cotter (Gretchen), Sharon Oumedian (Dave). Dan Cotter (Sally) and Colleen Cotter. She had seven grandchildren and many great-grand children, along with many nieces and nephews.

Marie worked the bulk of her career in real estate, and later she was licensed in Social Work. Marie was a caring Mother, a great friend to many. She strongly believed in the Catholic Church/faith.

Marie will be remembered for her strong will and the ability to make things happen. Her beautiful blue eyes, and big belly laughs, and her love for big family gatherings will be missed.

A celebration of Life will be held later. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity, and all prayers are always welcome.
