Marilla A. Bottomley

Marilla was born on January 26, 1942, in Danville, Illinois. She is preceded in death by her parents, Conrad L. and Aida Gilliland, husband Henry W. Bottomley, daughter Susan Sanford, brother Conrad B. Gilliland and nephew William Gilliland. She is survived by her son David Bottomley, daughter Kathy Erickson, four grandchildren- Amber Wise, Mackenzie and Blake Erickson, and Connor Bottomley, all of Tampa; sister-in-law Betty Gilliland and nieces Angie, Grace and Sophie Gilliland all of Greenwood, IN; nieces Laura Kagawa and Jennifer Goetzelman both of Danville, IL and many other extended family members and friends.

Marilla spent over 40 years as a Registered Nurse and loved taking care of children. She was active in retirement and with her church, Forest Hills Presbyterian. She is well loved and will be deeply missed.

In lieu of flowers, it is Marilla’s wish that donations be made to the Forest Hills Presbyterian Memorial Fund. Donations can be sent to 709 W. Linebaugh Ave., Tampa, FL 33612.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2020 from 5-7 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 North Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33614. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 10 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 11005 US Hwy 301 North, Thonotosassa, FL 33592.
