Marjorie C Webb

WEBB, Marjorie Borden, “Marge,” 89, of Tampa, was called home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2016. Born on March 6, 1926, she was the youngest of the four children of Capt and Mrs. E.W. Borden. Marge was a devout member of the First E.U.B. Church of Tampa, where she met her future husband, Bob Webb. She attended Hillsborough High School, and became the managing editor of “The Red and Black,” the school newspaper, and had her own column. Following graduation, she became the office manager at Kraft Foods. Marge married Bob Webb in 1948. They build a home in Forest Hills, where they raised their 3 children. Marge was active in the P.T.A. at both the school and district levels. After all 3 children were in school, she accepted a newly-created position with the Hillsborough County School District, where she taught children with special needs. She also continued to serve the church as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, and as president of the United Methodist Women. Immediately following their retirement, Marge and Bob embraced a new role when they became grandparents. They joined their family at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church. Marge was active in the Presbyterian Women, and she and Bob continued to sing in the choir, as they had throughout their lives. Marge was predeceased by Bob Webb, her husband of 64 years, and is survived by her children, Bonnie Copeland and her husband, Jim, Rob Webb and his wife, Sheri, and Billy Webb; grandchildren William Webb, Lauren Webb, and Jack Webb; sisters-in-law Marguerite Weesner and her husband Harold, and Louise Morris. She was also richly blessed with beloved nieces and nephews. Marge’s life was defined by love, and by her faithful service to the Lord and His children. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 21, at 4:00PM at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Forest Hills Presbyterian Church Music Fund.
