Please accept our deepest condolences and prayers, for a truly wonderful friend of both Al Smith and our family! “Walk” your kind heart and fun loving personality, along with our friendly Red Sox-White Sox sparring was always a great topic for conversation and laughs. We will miss him very much, and I am sure he will be very happy to join that large table of Friends and Accountants at the heavenly table assembled ahead of him. Say hi to my Dad and forever Rest In Peace my friend.

Love Always,

Eric and Kathy Smith

Mr. Walker was not only a kind neighbor, but a great boss. I had the privilege of working in his office through my high school and college years.

I remember how his east coast accent would show up stronger when he was excited or laughing. I remember how he let me take his Dodge K car to work. I remember lobster fests, plaid jackets and his great laugh. My deepest condolences to the Walker family. This is such a sad loss.

Mark was a real family favorite. My fondest two memories are of the plaid jacket that showed up at every Walker wedding. Mark would haul that fashion disaster to his own children's wedding receptions as well as to his nephews and nieces weddings. It wasn't an official wedding until the jacket appeared! The other great memory is his proclivity to travel to family reunions with his favorite bratwurst. Coils of this stuff were packed and barbequed in multiple states. We have bratwurst in Massachusetts and maybe he thought ours were made from ground up lobster parts or something, but the bratwurst was standard fare. Mark, you will be sorely missed but the memories are forever.

What a great and kind man Mr. Walker was and I send my thoughts and prayers to the Walker family. My memory is spending time with him and his children in his Park Ridge home while we were in high school (1985 - 1990). Mark always motivated us to get to college and set in our future careers - he was always welcoming and kept his door open to the neighborhood. His house was a place to go and feel comfortable and welcome. He will be remembered and missed.
