of Tampa, passed away on July 14, 2018 at the age of 81. She was born in Byron, GA, February 28, 1937 to Mary McNeice Mills and Samuel Pearson Mills. She graduated Byron High School and from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Home Economics Education. She was a loyal and active member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. She was a retired teacher in the Hillsborough County Public Schools, and an active member of Hyde Park United Methodist Church and the Tampa Woman’s Club. Her love of bridge started in college, she met her husband at a bridge party and played regularly with friends in Tampa as well as new friends online from all over the world. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 49 years, Roderick Williams Scudder, and daughter, Sallie Elizabeth Scudder. She is survived by her son, Ellison Williams Scudder; daughter-in-law, Donna Eng Scudder and granddaughter, Emma Luying Scudder. Memorial Service will be held at Hyde Park United Methodist Church, Friday July 20, 2018 at 11 am in the Chapel. The family will receive guests at the Blount and Curry Funeral home at 605 S. MacDill Ave on Thursday, July 19 from 5-7pm.
