Mimi moved to Tampa, Florida in 1961, a year after she was married. Mimi retired from the Hillsborough County School System. She was a Principal’s Secretary at Edison Elementary and Robinson High School for 22 years.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years Zen Anthony, her mother Valice Cowan Wayne, and her brother Col. John Wayne.
She is survived by her children Greg Anthony (Diane) and Andrea Hart (Jerry); 2 grandchildren Alex Anthony (Erin) and Alexis Hart; sister-in-law Dora Koudouna; nephews Tony Koudouna, Chris Nicolaou (Dee), and John Wayne (Rebecca); nieces Skip Higdon and Elpida Olsen (Scott).
Mimi touched many lives through her years at Robinson High School. She was loved by all and will be missed by her family & friends.
Graveside services will be held at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL., on Friday, December 29th at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sea Turtle Preservation Society In Memory of Mimi and her love of turtles (seaturtlespacecoast.org).
