Miriam Anne Loomis

Miriam "Anne" Loomis, 82, retired social worker, died April 22, 2026. She is survived by her brother, William B. Loomis. She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Miriam K. Loomis; her brother, Charles W. Loomis, and her beloved grandparents, Basil P. and Dora W. Kennard.

Anne was a world traveler. She started with bus tours around the US and Canada, followed by trips to England to visit relatives, other parts of Europe, and New Zealand to visit more relatives. Her greatest goals were accomplished when she saw wild giraffes in Africa, and wild penguins in Antarctica. She never got to go ashore on Easter Island, though she did see it from the deck of a cruise ship.

Anne graduated from H.B. Plant High School in 1961, and received her B.S. from Florida State University in 1983.

A Memorial Service will be held at Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church.
