Monica Caridad Hoffa
April 11, 1985 – October 13, 2017
Monica Caridad Hoffa, 32 years old, born April 11, 1985, passed away October 11, 2017. She graduated from Gaither High School in 2003 and attended Valencia. Monica was fluent in English, Spanish, and Sign Language. She loved life and had a beautiful smile that would light up the room. She was raised by her grandparents Guillermo and Ana, her mom, Olga, and her aunt, Ana. Monica also grew up with her cousins Ivette & Yury and they were raised as sisters. Monica was very close with the family. To Monica's grandparents, she was the light of their life. She loved her significant other, Dereck, very much, and would talk to her family about the plans she had in her heart for their future. Monica would always make sure to say to her family members "You know I love you, right"? She would make time to just come, sit, and talk to her cousins and do their nails and hair. Monica had a great love for the deaf community and many of her friends were deaf. She also loved to write poetry and was known for her drawings. She enjoyed the beach, walking, and just hanging out with family and friends. To Monica it was very important to forgive and forget. She would not remember any wrong doings and didn't hold a grudge. Her life was taken from her with no motive. We know God has her in His glory and we will see her again soon. Our beautiful Monica is survived by her grandparents, Guillermo & Ana; mom & dad, Olga & Kenny; aunt, Ana; brothers and sister; David, Adam, and Ivy; stepmom & stepbrother, Shelina & Ethan; cousins/sisters Ivette & Yury and their husbands Ruben & Carlos; cousins, Gaby, Mia, and Alyssa; uncle, Robert Hoffa; uncle & aunt, Guillermo & Melody; cousins JonPaul, Jonathon, and Janyll; significant other; Dereck; friend & roomate, Myrtis. A service in celebration of her life will be held at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, Fl 33614, Saturday, October 21, 2017, at 12 p.m.
