We  know that you are in a better place now with Jesus.  No more pain dad this is so wonderful to know you don't  have any worries about your health anymore.

As difficult as it is to type these words- I find comfort in knowing that my beloved cousin Monroe was a man of integrity! A man who loved his family and always left me with encouraging words. Uncle Monroe impacted our family in so many ways. Whenever you spoke to him, asked for advice or just joking around you knew he was giving you a very real prospective and giving it to you with love. His sense of humor was awesome.
I appreciate and thank God for him and the relationship we had. I have alot of fond memories and he will never be forgotten.

Monroe and I worked together at Robert Bosch. He was always a happy camper and just good to be around. 
I know he will be missed.

I served with Monroe on the USS ANTRIM.  My first ship as a very junior officer.  He was a great teacher and advisor to me for which I will always be grateful.  Wishing comfort and peace to the Covington family.

My partnership with Monroe extended far beyond our time together on the USS ANTRIM (FFG 20).  Recognizing each other as family, our sharing, caring, having each other’s back,  Monroe and I were partners through thick and thin. Despite our not spending much quality time when he came to JAX for our daughter’s wedding years ago, or when I attended his police graduation in GA, our laughs and love were without fail. Our recent final exchange further solidified a connection that only brothers and shipmates really understand. Fair Winds Brother 

Uncle Monroe, I so appreciate you. I regret not getting to visit you sooner. I love you and miss you. Thank you for checking on me and letting me know you are there regardless of distance.

Mr. Monroe and Dem were my neighbors at my first house. They grew to be more like family than neighbors. Mr. Monroe was always so helpful and nice all the time. He was a such a great person. He will be dearly missed.

Monroe was my brother In-law. He was a great husband to my bestfriend/sister. We had our love for the water/fishing in common and the memories of us fishing, our love for music and eating the biggest male blue crabs will always remain on my heart...Rest in Peace My Brother!
