

Nestor David was born in beautiful San Juan, Puerto Rico, to his parents Ana and Nestor Santiago on March 4, 1982, the second of three children between Eunice Marie and Ana Cristina. He went to school at San Juan, Puerto Rico, and graduated from the University of Florida in 2006 as a proud fan of the gator nation, with a bachelor’s degree in Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering. He worked as a Software Engineer for Wellcare and Centene Corporation for eight years in technical and leading roles, where he had numerous achievements. He was a member and involved in the Masonic community in Hillsborough County.
He loved cooking, especially grilling, and was a music lover and electronic games enthusiast. Always concerned about themes of life and death, many considered him a philosopher. Jesus lover and searcher of his paths and intentions, always trying the highest for his own life, although sometimes regretting not to reach it, in sum a very special human being.
The love of his life, Nestor Mateo, is his surviving son with his dear, lovely Tina Jennessee.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at 6802 Silvermill Dr., Tampa, FL, with Pastor Emigdio Santiago Jr of Iglesia Casa de Dios, Hudson, FL, officiating. The burial will be performed at a later date in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
The family of Nestor David wishes to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to all that wonderful people who walked with kind care with us his journey to eternity: Dr. Uday Dandamudi, Dr. Sarah Truelson, Dr. Nelson, the Florida Cancer Specialists of Trinity personnel, doctors, and nurses, the HCA Trinity Medical Center Oncology and Intensive Care Unit doctors and nurses, the Gulfside Healthcare Services palliative and hospice personnel, the Early Steps Montessori School, family and friends, among others.
Nestor David will always be remembered with much love and appreciation by his family and friends and will not be erased from our memory.
