Nicholas Ali Mortazavi
August 8, 1997 – July 21, 2018
Mortazavi, Nicholas (Nick) Ali came into our lives 20 years ago on August 8,1997 to parents Dr. Ali and Lynn (Gutierrez) Mortazavi in Washington D.C. As the youngest of 4 children, he was the beloved baby brother of three older sisters. Nick was always best described as “sweet’. He had an infectious smile and always knew how to make people laugh with his funny sense of humor. He was a very affectionate young man, freely bestowing big bear hugs to those around. He was attending college in St. Petersburg, Fl. Nick will always be remembered for his shoe-less, laid back lifestyle and all the joy he brought into our lives. He loved doing many outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and boating. Nick found joy in his loving girlfriend, Serrelle and his two dogs. Nick is survived by his parents, Dr. Ali Mortazavi and Lynn Gutierrez-Mortazavi of Tampa; his three sisters, Kelly and Caroline Mortazavi of San Francisco and Dr. Elizabeth Mortazavi of Tampa. He leaves his maternal grandmother, Geraldine Gutierrez, also of Tampa, his aunts and uncles, Dr. Ala Mortazavi, Dr. Fahimeh Mortazavi, Massoud Mortazavi, Dr. Richard Albert Guiterrez, Gail Gutierrez-Fabrega and Dr. Susan Gutierrez-Smeester and many loving cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dr. Albert Gutierrez and paternal grandparents, Dr. Hadi and Shafi Mortazavi. Words cannot describe how deeply his loss will be felt. Memorial arrangements are being handled by Blount and Curry, Oldsmar/West Hillsborough Chapel in Tampa. The celebration of life will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, July 25 at Incarnation Roman Catholic Church, 8220 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa.
