Echevarria, Octavio “OJ”, 63, of Tampa, passed away on July 24, 2015. Born in Habana, Cuba in 1951, he moved to Florida as a child. OJ worked as an optician for most of his professional career and he was a member of First Hispanic Presbyterian Church, Tampa. An avid photographer and bowler, OJ also enjoyed spending time with his family, hiking and being outdoors. A child of the 60’s and 70’s, he appreciated and listened to classic rock, blues and disco music. He is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter Laura; his sons Damian, David and Octavio “Bud” and his wife Stacy; and grandchildren Nicole, Jacob, Alexander, Arianna. He was preceded in death by his parents Octavio Felix and Maria Del Carmen Menendez Segade Echevarria and a brother Robert.
