Ollie Waller

Raised in Cashiers, NC, Ollie was born to Grace and Hershel Deal on December 18, 1926, in Oconee County, SC. After raising 5 children, she attended school to become a respiratory therapist at age 47, a career she continued until retirement. An independent woman, she loved working in the yard tending to her plants & flowers, could fix just about anything, and did the crossword puzzle in ink to keep her mind sharp. She also loved meeting and talking to everyone she met. Ollie was the best grandmother a child could want and loved them all very much.

Ollie is survived by her 4 daughters, Kyleene Galloway, Claudia Galloway McCallister (Blaine), Pamela Waller, and Candace Mergens (James) & 8 grandchildren, Kerry, Paul, Kelly, Rick, Jennifer, Chelci, Bailey, Lexi, & Cameron. She has 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, numerous extended family members and her little sister Dottie. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, a sister, and her daughter Teresa, a heartbreak she never got over. A memorial will be held on March 8th @ 1:00PM at Blount & Curry funeral home, 605 S. MacDill Avenue, Tampa.
