Paul was always kind and loving , smiling and made everyone around him feel special.  I'm thankful for having the pleasure to meet and spend time with him during family gatherings. He will be missed . We will continue to carry on his memories and love.

We were fortunate to have Paul as a good neighbor and friend. His love of family and life was inspiring.

It was a privilege to have been Paul's physician in Tampa for many years. He was always very concerned about his health and wanted to know if he could "do this or do that." When he hit 80, I told him he could do whatever he wanted. And I'm sure we'll all miss his e-cards.

Paul will be missed by so many. I learned so much from him over the years of working with him. He was a proud parent and grandparent and would often speak of his visits.

Paul was a wonderful man, talented, loving and always happy. I know that his family and friends have suffered a great loss for his passing. He will be sorely missed.

He loved Japan, loved Japanese food, and loved us.
He always kept a smile and gently interacted with us like our father.
He will be missed.

We have only known Paul a couple of years, but what an energetic and caring gentleman. His smile and positive attitude will be missed. Our condolences to the family.

I am honored to have known Paul through my father and mother's longstanding friendship with him.  I will miss this kind man.

We are already missing our 40+ year friend and close neighbor. Kathy and I feel like an uncle and aunt as we babysat the children years ago and developed a longtime, close relationship. 

The fact that we had personally visited your home country, Taiwan, in 1970 and fell in love with it, made us feel all the closer to Paul and family.  Then, just months ago, we watched and listened (although in Chinese) with Paul to a two-hour presentation at the University of South Florida by a well-known Taiwan popular folksinger and promoter of that Country.

We remember the Shanghai Chinese restaurant just south of Busch Gardens that the family ran in the mid-1970's. Shemei, his wife, would bring our dinner, smile and say,"enjoy." The children would be around to help out.  Kathy would help "Mei" with her citizenship test over a period of time.  (She passed.)

I remember taking hot chicken soup over to Paul when sick. He was always so healthy and ate well.  He was away so often we didn't get together as much as we hoped to, sharing a meal at nearby Tung Tung's or Cracker Barrel. We tried to celebrate birthdays together whenever possible. Our neighbor, Wannee, longtime neighbor-friend of Paul's family, would often join us.

 Paul would show us his body-improvement, magnetic, resonating devices, or tell us about his latest trips and grandchildren visits. 

Almost every New Year's Eve, Paul would call us from some remote location where he was staying at the time.  We were a part of his family and his close contact.

He once accompanied me to Hudson's Word of Life Camp for a lavish, Christian-themed musical production. At the end, they offered an "alter call" upon which I turned to Paul and he reconfirmed his assurity of God's free offer of salvation through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ for our sins.

 As I held his lifeless hand last Friday night at the hospital, in tears, I prayed that he had in fact given his heart to the Lord, and was face-to-face with Jesus at that very moment.

I pray for the Memorial Celebration-of-life Service on Aug. 5, that it will sufficiently honor Paul as God sheds his grace on one and all that day. 

 We will always remember your friendly smile, Paul, the love of your family and the wondrous life God has allowed you in your brief 85-year voyage on earth. Bon Voyage, our very special friend, you have made a difference in so many lives during your years, and we are all the better for it!

I was so stunned to see Paul on 7/29/2017 in the hospital. Such a diversified  energetic, friendly and optimistic man just gone so unexpectedly. I will miss him immensely. My sincere condolence to the family members.

We are very sad to hear of Paul passing. He was a dear friend to our Father C.J. and always made him welcome on his visits to Florida. C.J. enjoyed his trips away with Paul and Dick and hopefully they are now reunited again. We are thinking of you at this sad time. Ciaran, Liam & Turlough

Paul always had a huge smile and kind word. While I did not know him well - I could tell he was a dedicated father and proud grandfather. I know he will be dearly missed and we are all better for having him in our lives. Love to Ely and family.
