

Pete was born in Kansas to Jack and Ruri Weldon on February 27th, 1954. He went to school at South Gwinnett High School, Young Harris College, and Community College of the US Air Force. He married Linda Pittman on September 25th, 1993 in Norcross, Georgia. He worked as a Solution Engineer for Sprint for 22 years. He was a veteran of the Air Force and was the leading rusher for the European Front on the US Air Force football team in 1979. He received many awards including, T-Mobile Values Award Winner, 2021.
Pete is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ruri Weldon of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and his brother, David Weldon of Stone Mountain, Georgia.
Pete is survived by his wife, Linda Weldon, son, Shawn Weldon, daughters, Morgan and Sydney Weldon, son-in-law, Adam Hall, and his loving dogs, Toby, Mimi, and Finn. Together with his sister, Bonnie and brother-in-law, Gary Landress of Suwanee, Georgia; his brother, Paul, and sister-in-law, Mollie Weldon of Social Circle, Georgia; his sister-in-law, Judy Weldon of Buford, Georgia; his nephew, Jason and Nicolle Landress of Suwanee, Georgia; his nephew, Adam Landress of Sugar Hill, Georgia; his niece, Kristy and Chris White, and niece, Kim Dunlap of Buford, Georgia; his niece and nephew, Austin and Hannah Weldon of Gainesville, Georgia; his cousin, Tony and Kim Weldon of Tampa, Florida; his cousin, Don and Tracy Weldon of Dawsonville, Georgia. He also had many other cousins, great nieces and nephews.
Pete took great pride in his Japanese heritage. He enjoyed spending time with his devoted family and doting on his dogs. Pete’s passion was spending his weekends enjoying the Tampa Bay on his wave runners. He was an avid Tampa sports fan, and you’d often see him repping Buccaneers, Lightning, and Rays gear.
Pete had a gift for making life-long connections with people. Maintaining meaningful relationships for many years came naturally to him. He was a mentor, father figure, and caring friend to many. He had an everlasting impact on many people.
Pete will be celebrated most for his enormous heart. His greatest gifts were his limitless capacity for love and his warmth that drew others to him. Larger than life, he was truly one of a kind. We will carry him with us forever.
There are no words for how much he will be missed.
Honor his memory with a gesture of kindness, so his legacy of love will live on.
