I knew Henry my entire life he lived across the street from my grandparents His dad built my grandparents house, So very sad to read this... Henry was a good person  and hard worker I remember him doing odd jobs around the neighborhood at a young age and going to work for a Construction company near King High School many many years ago. 

Please note that I’ve received notice that due to the likelihood of inclement weather the 11:00 am service will now be held at Oak Grove United Methodist at Habana and Waters Ave.
Followed by a memorial luncheon at the church as well.

Henry Bennett, was nearly a lifetime friend  in the neighborhood whom always tried to live for the Lord, Jesus in anything he ever did.  
“Rest In Peace Henry” from the entire Partridge Family!

Many yrs ago Henry would stand at the door and greet me as I came in, "good morning Mike" and hand me a bulletin.. Yes, he always had a smile.  

We have known Henry for decades and have always enjoyed seeing his friendly smile welcoming everyone especially at Oak Grove UMC.  When I would miss going to church and when Henry saw me, he would always call me “CHURCH SKIPPER “!  It always put a smile on my face, because he knew I should be in church.  I know Henry worked very hard every day and you would see him all over town on his bicycle.  He was the custodian of Oak Grove Cemetery, opening and closing the gates.  Henry was a true Christian and greeted everyone with his smile as he rode his bicycle everywhere.
I know Doddie and many friends welcome him through the “Pearly Gates”. R I P Henry, you deserve it….

Henry has been a part of my life since 1965.  He was a shining light to all who knew him.  He loved Jesus more than anything or anyone and was very dedicated to everything he ever did.  If you asked Henry to do something for you, you could count on him completing the task and it would be don excellently. Anyone whoever crossed the threshold of Oak Grove United Methodist Church most likely met Henry.  He will be sorely missed by those of us who knew him and felt like he was part of our family.
