92, passed away Dec. 4th, 2017. He was born in Tampa to Prudencio and Lily Spoto Diaz. He graduated from Hillsborough High School then served in the USAF as a gunner on a B-17. He retired after many years as an engineer for Northwestern Canning Company and then head maintenance mechanic at Ruskin Packaging and Crews & Garcia Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents and his dear sister, Rose Nieto. He is survived by his wife, Rita Diaz, and his beloved children: P.J., Christine, and Loretta. The family will receive guests from 1-2pm before the memorial service starting at 2pm on Saturday, Dec. 9th at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave. The inurnment will be private at a later date at Garden of Memories Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice.
