Pura E. Estevez

83, of Tampa, FL, passed away on Saturday, December 27th, at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born and raised in Ybor City/Tampa. Pura was known for her beautiful singing voice and entertained many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Ramon Estevez Sr.; and great grandson, Leonel Turino; sister, Georgina “Percy” Baker; and brothers, Bernardo and Armando Hernandez. She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine (Mark) Alvarado; daughter, Cecelia (Carlos) Rodriguez; son, Frank (Cynthia) Menendez; son, Tony (Lisa) Menendez; daughter, Ray Marie Estevez; son, Ray (Rhonda) Estevez Jr.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great, great granddaughter; sisters, Olga (Billy) Martinez and Dalia (Louis) Fojaco; sister in laws, Audrey and Blanche Hernandez; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 2nd from 10am-12pm at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL, with a service to follow immediately at 12pm. Burial will follow at Oakgrove United Methodist Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Blount & Curry FH-Macdill Chap, TAMPA, FL.
