Raquel Patrice Pingeton

Raquel Patrice Pingeton, 49, passed away September 10, 2023 in Tampa, FL. Born in Fort Payne, AL, Raquel was a Logistics Specialist for the US Navy. She served in the US Navy from August 26, 2003 until her passing. Raquel enjoyed baking and spending time with her family. She enjoyed attending church (both East Lake Church and Grace Family Church) and watching HGTV. Raquel was a member of the Naval Operations Support Center Tampa and the Suncoast Chief Petty Officer’s Association.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert John Walker; maternal grandparents Forrest and Margaret Davenport; paternal grandparents Elizabeth and Isaiah Walker Sr. as well as several aunts and uncles. Raquel is survived by her husband Jason Pingeton of Tampa, FL; mother Dorothy Davenport of Huntsville, AL; sons Jordan Fries of Las Vegas, NV and Sean Wright of El Paso, TX; daughters Shania Anderson of San Diego, CA; Cyaira Walker of San Diego, CA; and Jasel Christina Pingeton of Tampa, FL; godparents Lee and Christine Parks of Huntsville, AL; brothers Robert Walker Jr. of AL and Ricky (and Tasha) Walker of Menlo, GA; sisters Kimberly Prater-Jelks of Fort Payne, AL and Debra Walker of Menlo, GA; grandchildren Raiden, Mileena, Aurora, and Ayanna; aunts Adelaide Bumpus of Columbus, GA, Mary Ayers of Fort Payne, AL and Mattie Williams of Buffalo, NY as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Raquel will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grace Family Church, 5100 W Waters Ave, Tampa, FL 33634 with funeral services beginning at the church at 11AM. A committal service will follow at 1:00PM at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Tampa, FL. Arrangements entrusted to Gonzalez Funeral Home.
