Raymond was born in Tampa to Juan and Emerita Cuesta on October 28,1934. He married Estella Cuesta on December 2, 1956 in Tampa. He was a football player at Jefferson High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. Raymond was a building contractor and owned his own companies, Bahia Builders and Cuesta Homes, for many years. Raymond was also a member in Woodworkers Club after retirement.
Raymond Cuesta is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Indy Cuesta.
Raymond Cuesta is survived by his wife, Estella Cuesta; children, Vicki Brown (Paul) and Raymond Cuesta, Jr. (Eileen); brother, John Cuesta, Jr.; Grandchildren Rick Castro (Jennifer), Jason Castro (Dawn), Vanessa Campisi (Nelson), Keith Cuesta (Laura), Raymond Cuesta III , Brian Brown, Laura Andrews (Daniel); Great-Grandchildren: Rocco, Jessica, Cole, Calvin, Sloane, Lilah, Rauri, Matthew and Hannah.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 N. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, Florida 33614.
Entombment on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 11 am at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, 4207 East Lake Ave, Tampa, Florida 33610.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Cuesta, Jr., Rick Castro, Jason Castro, Raymond Cuesta III, Keith Cuesta, Rocco Castro, John Cuesta III, Indy Cuesta, Paul Brown.
