

He was born on April 10, 1935 and was a Tampa native. He was 3rd generation owner of La Segunda Central Bakery in Ybor City.
Raymond grew up in Ybor City. He graduated from Jefferson High School and continued on to college. He served in the US Army for 4 years. He went on to work for IBM for ten years. He then decided to join his family business, La Segunda Central Bakery. It was there that he shared co ownership with his cousin Anthony Jr. and they continued the legacy started by their great-grandfather in 1915.
Raymond had a passion for sports cars, building homes and an extensive love for travel. He travelled around the world with his wife and took his children on many wonderful trips. He loved watching James Bond movies and had a soft spot for animals.
He was well loved in his community and was known by many names, Ramoncito, Cucito and Baby Ray.
Raymond is survived by his devoted wife Elva; his sister Helen Moré Ennis (Bobby); his 2 children Sean Moré (Elizabeth) and Yanna Moré Galante (Frank); and his 6 grandchildren, Olivia and Alec Galante, Julia and Spencer Moré and Rebecca and Grace Philpot.
Funeral services will be held, Friday, September 23, 2022 at 9:30 am, Blount and Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Avenue. We will gather after the service to share memories of Raymond.
The burial will follow at 2pm, Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
