Richard Farrell ‘Buddy’ Davis, 88, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in Tampa, Florida. Mr. Davis is survived by his sister Alice, and his son Sean.Born in Homer, Nebraska, the son of Jessie Edward and Effie Estella (Warnock) Davis. Mr. Davis joined the Army Air Corp at an early age, saw the end of World War II, participated in the Berlin Airlift, and Korea. Mr. Davis retired from the United States Air Force in 1965 after receiving the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service. He was married to Patricia Madeline Jackson on March 14, 1953. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patricia, two of his sisters Ethel and Florence, and his only brother, James. In lieu of flowers it is asked that donations be made to the ALS Foundation in the name of Patricia Davis, or to the Retinitis Pigmentosa International in the name of Richard Davis.
