Growing up in a broken home I didn’t experience what I would call “love” from my family so when I met Larry in 1989 who then introduced me to his mom and dad, you can imagine how awkward it was. I had no idea what what’s next but meeting Richard and Jean was a blessing I was not prepared for. Richard and Jean treated me like their own son and some days even better(smile). I had a home cooked lunch, dinner, and most days, dinner again. I had finally found that family I had been missing my whole life. Larry and I were like brothers doing everything together, even work. But the highlight of my week was watching Richard remove everything from his garage and I mean everything, clean it like no one else could, then put everything back in just the way it was. He did this every weekend and at the time I couldn’t understand it, but when you are as amazing as he was, there is no need to explain. Richard was a one of a kind soul and if you were one of the luck ones who had the opportunity to meet him, well you were just that, lucky. I am truly going to miss you Richard and I pray we meet again someday.

I would always remember Richard as a happy jolly kindhearted husband to my dear friend Jean.  My condolences to the entire family. May his soul rest to peace.

I’ve always remembered Richard as a very caring and thoughtful family man. We just got in the U.S. in mid 80s and met Larry as a friend. There was never a time that he didn’t have a smile on his face when he greet us and always offer to come in the house and take his time to have a conversation. all my memories have been great with Him, Jean, Larry, cousins and the rest of the family. They treated us as part of the family.

I remember Richard as a loving, caring and devoted husband to my cousin, Jean. He was such a warm and happy person. I always enjoyed meeting him whenever he and my cousin visited when they lived in Trinidad. 
Gone but not forgotten. May his soul rest in perfect peace. 🙏

Uncle Richard was the most caring and loving uncle anyone could have. Our family has a lost another gem that will be sadly missed. May you rest in eternal peace. Forever in our hearts.
