69, of Tampa, passed away on Sunday, June 12th at Tampa General Hospital. Born in Staten Island, Bob spent much of his childhood between Brazil and Virginia. He moved to Tampa after serving our country in Vietnam as a member of the U.S. Army. Bob worked over the years in the restaurant business especially many years with Shells Restaurants where he helped open new locations throughout Florida. Bob enjoyed fishing and the outdoor life among his hobbies and most of all being among his family and friends whom he would often make laugh and smile. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Sue Bland Gill & Father, Robert Lawrence Gill; Cousins, Wallace “Buddy” Jenkins & Patty Jenkins, Rose Murphy, & Dorothy Ellis. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Maryrose Gill; son, Robert Gill; daughter, Susan Gill; siblings, Carolyn Sue Gill; Niece, Gigi Aad, Nephew, Nick Aad; cousins, John and Mary Jenkins & Pam and Terry Melton. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 2nd at 11am at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 S. MacDill Ave with a reception to follow.
