

Robert E. (Bob) Murrin IV - Obituary TAMPA, FL - Robert E. (Bob) Murrin IV, of Tampa, passed into his eternal rest on February 17, 2015. Bob was born in St. Joseph, MO in 1945, he was the son of Robert E. III and Helen Dunn Murrin. He was the oldest of five children – Tom, Kevin, Michael, and Betsy were his siblings. Bob is survived by his and Shelly R. McDonald’s children Robert E. (Rob) Murrin V (Jennifer) and their two sons, of Tampa, and Megan (Greg) Reed and their two sons also of Tampa. He grew up in the Seneca Heights neighborhood of Olean, and graduated from St. Mary’s of the Angels School, Archbishop Walsh High School, and St. Bonaventure University. While in college he was a member of the ROTC program, and after college he joined the U.S. Army as a 2nd. Lt. After additional training in the US, he was deployed to Germany working in Logistics during the Vietnam era. During his tenure he was promoted several times for his work and dedication and earned the rank of Captain before ending his military commitment in 1970. After returning to the Olean area, he became a Home Builder and built quality homes throughout the Southern Tier of New York, and NW Pennsylvania. Like many Western New Yorkers, he decided to move to Florida. He continued as a Builder, and later worked in sales for Thomas’ and Pepperidge Farms. Bob was always known for his quick wit, sense of humor and enjoyed being around friends and family. Like every good Oleander who headed south, Bob still loved and rooted for the Bonnies, Bills, and Sabres!
