Bobbie was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. to Edwin and Jule Hughes on August 26th, 1939. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1957. That year, she started dating Gavin Feldman and after a long courtship; they married on April 23, 1960. In 1971, she and Gavin moved to Tampa, FL. where they raised 5 children who adored and cherished her. As her legacy of love and family continued, she was blessed with seven grandchildren who quickly became the apple of her eyes.
Over the years, She worked for Bell Telephone Company, Incarnation Catholic Church Rectory, Sports and Recreation, and Berkeley Preparatory School; in addition to having a home daycare. Once retired, Bobbie volunteered for a few years with American Red Cross at Town and Country Hospital. She would tell you her most favorite “job” was being a mother and housewife.
Bobbie was an active member of Incarnation Catholic Church. She was part of the church folk-group and sang for many years at Sunday Mass. She was a member of that parish for 40 years, until she moved to Odessa and joined Espiritu Santo Catholic Church. She enjoyed singing “Church Songs” and “Oldies But Goodies” until the very end.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Gavin Feldman, her parents, and her sister Jule Ann Conlon.
Bobbie is survived by her loving children John Feldman Jr. (Carmel), Patrick Feldman (Dawn), Mary Bakanec (Brad), Timothy Feldman (Kristi), and Kevin Feldman (Ana); beloved grandchildren Kaitlyn Feldman, Gavin Feldman, Matthew Feldman, Kayla Bakanec, Sarah Bakanec, Kevin Feldman Jr., and Carolina Feldman; her adored sister Iva Hanlon, sisters-in-law Ann Marie Feldman and Roberta Feldman; and many nieces and nephews.
