Robin Supreca Carpenter

Robin Supreca Carpenter, 66, passed peacefully into God’s eternal kingdom on August 21, 2026, in Tampa, Florida, surrounded by those she loved most: her husband, Steve J. Carpenter, and her daughters, Savannah J. Godec (Tyler), and Caroline C. Carpenter.

Robin was preceded in death by her parents, Saundra and Cleo Clements; her grandparents, Wanda and Jug Stein; and her great-aunt and uncle, Clela “Sity” and Wayne Sandridge.

Born on April 16, 1960, in Independence, Missouri, Robin was raised in Kansas City and spent many cherished summers in Perry, Georgia. She graduated from Belton High School and continued her education at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Marketing. She later married the love of her life, Steve, on Catalina Island, California, beginning a beautiful marriage that would span 40 wonderful years.

Robin began her career in marketing and business communications, working with local television and radio stations in Kansas City and later in marketing for Associated Wholesale Grocers. After moving to Tampa, she continued her work in marketing through a local tourism publication and eventually managed her own property management business.

But of all the roles Robin held throughout her life, none meant more to her than being a mother. A true Southern lady with a heart for family, Robin ultimately devoted herself to raising her two girls, Savannah and Caroline. She poured into them all of her love, strength, wisdom, and unwavering support, and believed that raising kind, strong, good human beings was not simply her job, but her calling. That same love took on a new dimension when Robin became “Mimi” to her granddaughter, Ella. She embraced being a grandmother with the same joy and devotion she brought to motherhood, and being Mimi was among the greatest blessings of her life.

She was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church and filled her life with the things she loved: traveling, participating in book club, volunteering, watercolor painting, and even trying her hand at stand-up comedy. She believed life was meant to be celebrated and made sure those around her knew it.

Robin is survived by her husband, Steve Carpenter; daughters, Savannah Godec (Tyler) and Caroline Carpenter; granddaughter, Ella Vess; sister, Candy Pearson (Rick); brother, Chance Clements (Cindy); nieces, McKenzie Clements, Cayle Clements, and Taylor Gentry (Josh); great-niece, Willow; aunt, Terry Doocy (Tim); and cousins, Trey Doocy (Kelley) and A.J. Shank.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Robin’s memory to The Spring of Tampa Bay or the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay, two organizations that were close to her heart.

Visitation will be held at Blount & Curry Life Event Center-MacDill Chapel, 605 S MacDill Ave, Tampa, FL 33609, on September 3, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The following afternoon a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, 821 S Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33609, on September 4, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
