Memories with Russell, a straight man, and me, a gay man; were censored in my initial tribute to him as my friend. Absent the operative gender. So as I remember Teresa, their combined family, our friendship and good times for many years; I hope this acknowledgment fills your souls with the fondness we all had for him.

Dear Russell, thank you for being a good friend, dance partner at The American Cowboy, rollerblading, Coke Slurpees and sharing the sweet friendship of both you and Eddie Garcia. “My boys” back in the day! You guys lifted my spirits when I needed most! We shared same birthday, although I was 9 yrs older than you. Believe the photos posted here was to celebrate our birthdays at Sam Seltzer Steak House. Wish you didn’t have to go so soon dear one, it’s never feels fair, I know you fought hard. I’m also real sorry to know now that we just lived 4 mins away from one another and didn’t get together. Theresa, family and friends, my heart goes out to each one of you. I hope all the wonderful memories shared lifts you in times of sadness. Russell may you rest in heaven, in our hearts forever! ❤️🙏🏻

My most memorable memory is at Fred Seemann's birthday dinner this past January. Russell sang karaoke songs and owned the microphone all night. He was singing a super star singer that night. I will never forget that evening watching him enjoy himself as an entertainer. He had everyone on their feet enjoying his vocals. He will be dearly missed!

I have known Russell for 12 plus years as a valued associate and friend at ImageFirst. I have a great amount of admiration for the strength both he and Teresa have had throughout this journey! My thoughts and prayers are with Teresa and Russell's family! Russell will be truly missed by all of us here at ImageFirst.

I remember when Russell started coming to the American Cowboy Co. He was so good looking and I believe there were many women who hoped, but from the moment he met Teresa, he was hooked. I believe he felt like she was his soul mate. Big smile, kind man, and friends to many. He will be missed. But we will have our memories.
