Born on October 14, 1929, in Ellijay, Georgia, Ruth lived a life centered on family and love. Prior to marriage, she worked in the manufacturing industry in Ellijay. As the wife of a serviceman, she spent many years moving from place to place during her husband’s Air Force career. Although military life took her to many different places, Ellijay, GA and Tampa, FL always held a special place in her heart. She treasured the time she spent in both communities and especially enjoyed visiting with friends and family in Ellijay and Tampa, creating lasting memories with those she loved.
Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Her greatest joy was her family, and she will be remembered for the care, compassion, and steadfast support she gave throughout her life.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” Perry, and her son, Michael Perry.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Susan Perry, and her grandchildren, David Perry and Bethany Perry, who will fondly treasure the memories they shared with her and carry her legacy forward.
