Sally was a neighbor in my condo. We spoke shortly after she moved in because she saw Florida State University decorations on my car. From then on, she always said hello and always had a smile ready for me ... even when I could tell she wasn't feeling well. I've been fortunate enough to get to know her wonderful daughter Sandy, with whom I've shared stories and advice about caring for elderly parents.
The memory of Sally's smile will brighten our condo hallway for years to come.
