Shirley J. Gatti, age 85, went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 6, 2024. She was loved by so many because of her caring heart and southern hospitality. Her smile was a ray of sunshine that truly brightened your day.
She was born to Joseph and Alice Salter in Eagle Lake, Florida on March 15, 1938. She is survived by siblings, Jerrome Powell and Belinda Sue Hovey, daughters, Tikvah Kolbo, Belinda Talbot and Alisa Raplee along with 9 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
In 1954 she met the love of her life, Nathan Gatti. The two were excited to start their new lives together and were married on December 12, 1955 in Mississippi.
Shirley and Nathan could not wait to start a family of their own, and their daughters, Lori (Tikvah), Belinda and Alisa meant the world to them.
Although Nat (Nathan) went to be with his Heavenly Father much earlier, she remained and was blessed to watch their daughters marry and family grow from 3 daughters to 9 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. What a legacy!
We cannot forget her little dog Taco, he was her companion for over 10 years. Taco has been adopted by her daughter Alisa, and family.
Shirley will always be remembered for her honesty, faith in God, love for family and people. She was a great friend, mother, and grandmother, and will be missed by all every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
