Sy was born in Mankato, Minnesota on August 16th 1939. He met Loretta (Rikki), his wife, in Minneapolis on a blind date. He made his journey with Rikki to Tampa, Florida in 1983.
Sy was a skilled brick mason throughout his entire career.
He was passionate about his family, artistry, gardening and fishing.
Sy was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandpa and great grandpa and a friend to many. He is survived by his wife Loretta (Rikki) Thielges, Sister, Leola Sontag, Son, Michael and his wife Nyrea, Daughters, Sher Evanson and Shelly Brady. Grandkids, Renisa, Navarre, James and his wife Christina, Jessica and her husband Matt. Great Grandchildren, Buddy and Boo.
A celebration of Sy’s life will be held at a later date and all will be notified.
