Sylvia Altagracia Tavarez Salce, 74, from Wesley Chapel, Florida passed away peacefully on August 3rd, 2026 at Gulfcoast Hospice from complications of stage 4 lung cancer. A devoted wife and mother, Sylvia, dedicated her entire life to her family. As a homemaker, she poured her heart into creating a warm, welcoming, and loving home for her children and for her entire family. Her greatest joy came from nurturing her family, tending to her household, and celebrating the milestones of those she loved. We immensely miss the loving heart and infectious laughter of Sylvia Salce, who completed her courageous fight with cancer and is now with the Lord. Sylvia’s defining character was her maternal spirit; she was a mother not just to her own, but to everyone she met, always giving selflessly and loving unconditionally. While we grieve her loss, we find comfort knowing she is reunited with her beloved husband, Victor Salce, and her cherished son, Dennis Salce. Her legacy of love lives on through her four surviving children, Jeffrey, Jenny, John, and Emily, along with her three grandchildren, Christopher, Jaelene, and Dominic, who brought immense happiness to her later years. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Debbie, son-in-law Raul, and future son-in-law Desmond.
A Visitation will be held at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, Florida 33614 on August 10, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A Religious Ceremony to follow from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
