Erich, Thomas H., 74, of Tampa, passed away December 10, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospital after fighting a long illness. He was a member of Incarnation Catholic Church. For over 50 years, he was a member of the Pennsylvania Elks and supported Tampa Elks Lodge #708. He was born in Kane, PA and moved to the Tampa area in 1966. Thomas was a veteran of the US Air Force. He lived life to its fullest. After retiring in 2003, he and his wife traveled to many places around the world. He was a golfer, a fisherman, and a friend to everyone he knew. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Floyd Erich. Thomas is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Sheila G. Erich; a sister, Kay D. Yehl and her husband Greg; two nephews, Jonathan and Josh Yehl; and brother-in-law, Bert Mombourquette. Family and friends are invited to attend a gathering from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the Blount & Curry West Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Dr., Tampa. A Funeral Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am, Monday, December 22, 2014 at Incarnation Catholic Church, corner of Webb Rd. and W. Hillsborough Ave, Tampa. Memorial donations may be made in Thomas’ memory to the Wounded Warriors, Florida Cancer Specialists, or the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
