Born on May 1, 1942, Tim served in the National Guard and the United States Army. Tim served two tours in the Vietnam War and retired as a Colonel. During his time serving in the military, Tim earned numerous medals. Some of the medals are:
National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Ranger Tab, Three Oversees Service Bars, Bronze Star Medal, Parachutist Badge, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, VNSF Jump Wings, 2 National Defense Service Medal, Infantry Officer Branch Insignia Brass and Special Forces Officer Branch Insignia Brass.
The son of Edward and Kathleen Maroney, he was born in Queens, NY and grew up in Brooklyn, NY. Tim graduated from Syracuse University. He also earned a Degree from United States Army War College. Tim was also a Professor of History at Dajin University in Korea.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Edward and mother, Kathleen. Tim is survived by his wife, Chong, his four children, Andrew and his wife Carolyn, John and his wife Grace, Laura and Janet and her husband Frank. Tim also leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 2 brothers, Edward and his wife Eileen and Paul and his wife Joann. He was preceded in death by both his parents.
