Later, Valerie moved to New York, where she worked as a nursemaid. On December 28, 1975, she married Jerry Frank London, and they eventually relocated their family to Florida in 1985. Valerie later changed her career and became a saw operator, cutting foam for boat upholstery.
Living in sunny Florida allowed her to enjoy the outdoors, where she loved gardening and growing beautiful flowers, fruits, and vegetables. However, cooking and baking were her passion. Valerie was truly the original “Iron Chef.”
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, offering love and support not only to her family but also to many others in her life. Valerie is preceded in death by her husband Jerry, who passed away on January 11, 2020, after 45 years of marriage. She transitioned to be with the Lord on October 3, 2025.
Valerie is survived by her sons, Rodney London and Rondell (Priscilla) London; her granddaughter, Persia London; her brother, Terence (Mary) Noel; her church family at Living Water Ministries of Seffner; and a host of other grieving family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Andrew Daley for his efforts and dedication in caring for Valerie.
