Vernon Leroy Lynch

Vernon L. Lynch, 86, of Tampa passed away August 26, 2016. Vernon was born in Montoursville, PA. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was very proud of his service. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean, his daughter Terri Lynn, siblings Kenny, Donald, Shirley, and Janice. He is survived by his daughters Debbie (Roy), Kathy, Sandy, Kim (Chuck), Ann, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren As we celebrate the life of Vernon, memories flood back and we realize all that we have lost with his passing. He left behind a very large and loving family that will miss him dearly. Vernon was a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his 5 daughters, 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was a proud American, Korean War veteran and the best mechanic most of us have ever known. Vernon was patient and willing to dedicate his time and knowledge to those willing to listen. He believed in doing your best and that everything you do was a paramount principle. He instilled that in his children and grandchildren. Vernon always made time to help anyone that needed it. There wasn’t much that he couldn’t fix; some things just took a little longer than others. Our poor Nana couldn’t get a new appliance until there was a catastrophic failure of epic proportions because short of that, he could fix it and always did. He was a hard worker and always made sure that his most important priority, his family, was taken care of. His work ethic and commitment to doing things right are qualities seldom seen in the world today. The ones left behind are so very sad because of the unfillable void that he has left in our hearts and lives. We will surely miss his jokes, the invaluable life advice given with ease but most of all, his warm and contagious belly laughs! (Usually after an inappropriate joke) Papa, we love you and our lives will never be the same because a man of your caliber can never be replaced
