Victor Manuel Nunez Berrios

Victory M. Nunez Berrios, 86, passed away on July 25, 2022. He was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico. Victor was a US Army veteran who served in the Korean War and earned numerous Medals of Honor. He moved from Brooklyn, NY to Florida 28 years ago. Victor loved playing his guitar or any musical instruments, as well as spending time with family.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha Nunez; parents Jeronimo Nunez and Felicita Berrios; sisters Luz Elenia Nunez, Laura Nunez, and Concepcion Nunez; brother Joselin Nunez; and son Javier Nunez.

Victor is survived by his children Victor Nunez, Jr., Enid Elizabeth Nunez, Carmen L. Nunez, Norma I. Nunez and Nivia L. Nunez; siblings Jeronimo “Jelito”, Armando, Rene, Jeronimo Jr., Raul, Marialina, Noemi, Edna, Carmen, and Auria; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

A visitation for Victor will be held Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 4-7 pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 7209 North Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, FL 33614. A graveside service will occur 9am Monday, August 1, 2022 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S. W. 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
