

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Waldo Frank Cantero, a devoted, father, brother, and friend on December 28, 2025. He was born and raised in Tampa where he graduated from Jefferson high school in 1971. Upon graduation, he proceeded to Hillsborough community college before entering the workforce. Frank was the consummate salesman. He founded Cantero Sales which served clients throughout the states as well as abroad. During the latter years of his professional career his sales experience served the roofing industry.
He was a man of immense strength, kindness, and dedication. Frank was a loving father to Ashley and Amber and a cherished brother to sisters Carmen Diez and Velia Pedrero. He was devoted to the well-being and happiness of those he loved. His unwavering support, guidance, and love will forever remain in the hearts of his children and family.
Frank was known for his generosity, humor, and his ability to make everyone around him, feel seen and valued whether it was spending time with family, or lending a helping hand.
He was a passionate golfer, fisherman, and sports enthusiast. He enjoyed watching baseball and football. He loved to cook for family and friends. He was a perfectionist when preparing a meal. Details mattered! His legacy of love, compassion and selflessness will be carried on by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Velia and Waldo Cantero. He is survived by his daughters, Ashley , and Amber Cantero , grandson Jet Nicolas Gonzalez, niece Shannon McCullough, nephew Ryan Diez, and numerous paternal cousins.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
