William was born in Jacksonville, FL to William (Pete) J. Argo, Sr. and Effie Foster Argo on January 31, 1935. He went to school at Andrew Jackson High School, Jacksonville, FL. He married Beverly Elizabeth Pettijohn on February 2, 1957 in Miami, FL. He graduated from the University of Florida with Math and Engineering degrees as well as Lettering in Basketball. He was an avid Florida Gator fan and alumni. He worked as a GE Engineer on the Apollo Space Program and had an Economic Development consulting firm.
Bill Argo is preceded in death by his wife Beverly E P Argo, his parents, his Aunt Margaret Walker of Jacksonville, FL.
Bill Argo is survived by his son William (Jay) Argo, (Jeanette), his daughter Kimberly Coil (Gregory), his grandchildren, Andrew Coil (Bhakti), Emily Coil, and Benjamin Coil (Anastasia).
A celebration of his life will held over the summer at the family homestead in North Carolina.
