Gantz, William Lee, 83 of Tampa passed away on February 5, 2016. He will be missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley Gantz of Tampa. He is also survived by his four children, Peggy Wright (Wayne) of California, Allen Gantz (Robin) of California, Jo Skiles (Mike) of Spring Hill, and Bill Gantz Jr. (Mary Beth), of Indiana; brother, Donald Gantz of Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A Tampa Bay resident for 43 years, Bill was born on December 3, 1932 in Canton, Ohio. He was a 50 year member of the Iron Workers Union, past 35 years with Local 397. He was in the United States Army and was a Korean War veteran. Bill was a member of the American Legion Post #152 on Sheldon Road. A Memorial Service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, February 13 at the Blount & Curry Funeral homes, Oldsmar/West Hillsborough Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Dr, Tampa. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
