Abel Robles Sr. Went to his eternal home on October 5, 2026, surrounded by family as he took his last breath. Abel was born on November 5, 1932, to Daniel and Candelaria Robles in Alamo, TX. Abel was always known as a strong willed and hard-working man.
He married Delfina Alderete Robles on December 6, 1953, and together they had 7 sons and 7 daughters. Abel was a great provider to his family.
Abel started working at a very young age out in the fields. He worked at Cotton Gin for many years and then at Kerr-Ban and Swift. He finally found his passion as a truck driver at Stripling Blake Lumber Co. He worked there for 25 years and retired at age 65. After retirement, he wanted to continue driving, so he bought his own gravel truck and worked at J.V. Dirt until he was no longer able to work. He was asked by Delfina, his wife, "Do you love your truck more than me" and his answer was simple. He said, "I love you both the same". That is how proud he was of owning his own truck. After he was no longer able to work, he spent the rest of his time at home fixing his house and was very proud when he started to remodel it. His health started to slow him down, but what never changed was his love and commitment to his family.
Abel Robles was proceeded in death by his parents, Daniel & Candelaria Robles, his wife Delfina Robles, 2 sons- Arturo & Wife Pam, Abel Robles Jr., 2 daughters- Noemi & husband Valente Vargas, and Erminia Luna. 3 brothers Ermenehildo Robles, Lionel Robles & Joe Robles. 3 sisters- Aurora & Husband Adan Ramirez, Lydia & Husband Jesse Gonzales, and Jovita & Husband Joe Alderete.
