On February 23, 1963 she married Clarence Vanek and they made their home in Taylor, TX. She worked at the Taylor Compress until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clarence and a son Leroy Vanek.
Bernice is survived by her son Michael Vanek, daughters Lisa Morris and husband Nick, and Patricia Vanek. She is also survived by her grandchildren Alicia, Cody, Elizabeth, Allison and Christopher and 2 great granddaughters. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Lillie Vanek and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
The family will have visitation from 5:00-7:00PM on Monday, August 31, 2026 with recitation of the rosary at 6:00PM at Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of Mass will be at 10:00AM on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
