

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7PM, July 27th at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Celebration of Life Mass will be at 10AM, July 28th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor, with Father John Kim officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Taylor.
Delia was born on August 30, 1938 to Candelario and Pilar (Fuentes) Gonzalez in Taylor, Texas. She grew up in Taylor and attended Taylor schools. She was employed by Bill‘s Chicken Ranch for 10 years as a manager. Then in 1986, she became the manager at Golden Chick (Bo Stover Enterprises) for 18 years. Delia retired in January 2005. She loved all of her customers and enjoyed being around people. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and also of St. Anne’s Altar Society.
She was full of love, kindness, unwavering strength, and touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Her warm smile, generous spirit and caring heart created countless, precious memories that her family and friends will treasure forever. She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcomed, loved and valued - leaving a lasting impression wherever she went.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Alice F. Garcia; sister, Esther G. Gayton; brother, Walter Gonzales; and half brother, James Gonzales.
Delia is survived by her son, Richard (Linda) Flores of Pflugerville; daughter, Becky (Michael) Sanchez of Austin; and son, Ralph (Peggy) Flores of Round Rock; two sisters, Beatrice Vega of Taylor, and Alice (Tony) Vega of Dallas; half-sisters, Yolanda (Augustine) Gomez of Thrall, Jackie (John) Craite of Austin, Irene Gonzales of Washington, Deana (Robert) Tysdal of Katy, Yvonne (Domingo) Alderete of Taylor; two half brothers, Homero (Anna Marie) Gonzalez of Taylor, and John (Angie) Euresti of California; three grandchildren, Bernie (Mary) Garcia, Sandie Garcia, and Michael (Sarah) Flores; and five great grandchildren.
Active Pallbearers will be Mason Flores, Cain Garcia, Chris Gayton, Frankie Guardiola, Cameron Kinney, and Gabriel Sanchez.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Hector Gayton, Joe Gayton, Raul Gonzales, Ray Gonzales, Ricky Sanchez, Eddie Vega, Michael Vega, and Tim Vega.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be given to St. Mary’s Catholic School (408 Washburn St., Taylor, Texas 76574) or to the charity of one’s choice.
