

Donald Leroy Swenson passed away on April 17, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 10, 1945, to Elmer and Lillian Swenson. He was raised in Pflugerville, Texas on the family dairy.
Donald graduated in 1963 from Pflugerville High School where he met his high school sweetheart Norma Swenson. He was always proud to be a part of the Pflugerville High School 55 Consecutive winning streak football team.
Donald and Norma married on January 20, 1967. They raised their son Douglas Swenson on the family farm. Donald spent numerous days and hours milking cows on the family dairy and working in the field. He and his brothers worked the dairy until the late 90s. The dairy was sold and a new high school football stadium “The Pfield” was built.
In 2003, Donald and Norma moved to Thorndale, Texas. He, his brother Morris, nephew Phillip and his son Douglas continued farming and raising cattle.
Until his final days, he was able to tell you about every cow he owned. He loved having his dog Killer always by his side.
He is preceded in death by his wife Norma Swenson, his mother Lillian Sundbeck Swenson, his father Elmer Swenson, his brothers Morris Swenson and Johnny Swenson and his sister-in-law Suzie Swenson.
He is survived by his son Douglas Swenson (Rhonda Zieger), granddaughter Kody Swenson, grandson Tyler Swenson, nieces Linnaea Swenson and Karin Swenson, nephews Phillip Swenson (Misty Swenson) and Johnny Swenson Jr. (Sara Swenson).
Pallbearers will be Douglas Swenson, Tyler Swenson, Lance Johnson, Buddy Johnson, Larry McCallister and Scott Kuempel
