Frances Fay (Foehr) Freels, 91, of Taylor, died Monday, September 7, 2026, at the SPJST Skilled Nursing facility in Taylor. Frances was born on April 3, 1935, in Fedor, Texas. She was a 1953 graduate of Thorndale High School and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylor. Many may have crossed paths with her during her 25 plus years of being the bookkeeper and receptionist at 1260 KTAE radio in Taylor. You could always find her spending time with family and close friends or doing work at the church. She loved to travel and spent many days driving across the country to new destinations with family and friends.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy, of nearly 54 years, her parents Katie and Herbert Foehr, brother Bobby Foehr, and sister Joyce Gruetzner.
She is survived by a son, Kevin, and wife, Gina, of Midlothian and two grandchildren, Grant and wife Taylor of Rowlett, Macy and husband Nathan Vaji of Waxahachie, and one great-grandson Baker Vaji.
Since January of 2008, Frances was a resident of the SPJST Skilled Nursing facility in Taylor. The family would like to thank the staff for their many years of nurturing care. The family is also very thankful for the staff of Concho Hearts Hospice that helped with her care in her final weeks.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M., Sunday, September 13, at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Celebration of Life Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 14, at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Taylor. Burial to follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.
